How refunds work
at SkinCompass.
We want to be transparent before you purchase. SkinCompass works differently from a physical product — and our refund policy reflects that.
All purchases are final.
The only exceptions are technical failures: a report that never generated, or a duplicate charge. In those cases, email us with proof and we'll make it right.
Why we don't offer refunds.
SkinCompass is a consumable AI service, not a physical product. Once you complete a Skin Map quiz, our system runs your answers through a real scoring engine, generates a personalized report, and delivers the analysis to you. At that point, the value has already been delivered.
This is the same model used across the AI industry — services like Midjourney, ChatGPT Plus, Higgsfield, and Cursor all operate on the principle that once usage occurs, the service has been rendered. You can't return a meal you've already eaten.
For subscribers, the logic is similar: by the time you've taken even one or two Skin Maps, you've already accessed the core value of the membership. That's why we made the free Barrier Assessment as substantial as it is — so you can sample the system before paying.
The two exceptions.
There are only two scenarios where we will issue a refund. Both require an email to support with proof.
Your report never generated
If you completed a quiz, were charged, but the report failed to generate — and our system can confirm no report was ever delivered to your account — we will issue a full refund.
You were double-charged
If our system or Stripe processed your payment twice for the same purchase, we will refund the duplicate charge in full as soon as we verify it.
Any other scenario is not eligible for a refund. This includes (but isn't limited to): changing your mind after purchase, not using the product, finding the report less helpful than expected, forgetting to cancel a subscription before renewal, or buying the wrong Skin Map.
Special circumstances.
Life happens, and we understand that. If you believe your situation is genuinely exceptional — beyond the two technical scenarios above — you're welcome to email support and explain.
We review these case-by-case. We make no promises and will not always say yes, but we will read what you write and respond honestly.
Cancellation is not the same as a refund.
You can cancel your SkinCompass Member or Pro subscription at any time, in one click, from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals — you keep access through the end of your current billing period, and you will never be charged again.
Cancellation does not, however, refund any past billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, mid-six-month, or mid-year, you still keep access until the end of what you've already paid for. Past months are not refunded.
